Bowles Farming Company is a family-owned and operated farm in the heart California. For over 160 years, their mission has been to produce food and fiber in the most sustainable ways possible.
But to improve their odds of survival through these next 40 years, and to preserve California’s family farming legacy, Bowles saw the need to reinvent itself for the digital economy and a global food crisis. The challenges of transformation ranged from problems in the field, to the front office, and off the farm.
Through a library of fast-paced content designed for Instagram and Facebook, we cultivated an across-the-aisle dialogue to collaboratively solve the unintended consequences of misinformed policy-writing and educate the public on how their food and clothes are grown.
Within a week of release the first commercial organically attracted over 123,000 views and 1,400 shares.
After 6 months, the media campaign reached over 2 million people from New York to Italy, garnering attention from industry-specific blogs and national publishers like Fast Company and the New York Times.
